Lisa Ben-Aderet – Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Lisa Ben-Aderet is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and nurse educator whose passion is delivering primary medical care to adults and adolescents. Lisa brings a wide range of clinical experience and a distinguished record of service to Primary Medical Associates of Long Island. She has worked as a nurse practitioner and clinical director for urgent care medical centers and is a strong patient advocate, who for nine years, promoted public health objectives at the Department of Mental Health and Hygiene.

Recognized by patients as a kind and gentle soul, Lisa is also a certified instructor of Buddhist meditation. She has engaged in meditative practice for nearly 20 years and has been sharing its benefits with others for over five years. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys relaxing with family and passing down the tradition of cooking her grandmother’s favorite Greek dishes.

Erica Carranza – Medical Assistant, Admin Supervisor

Erica takes pride in leading her support team effort to enhance the patient experience through courtesy, care, and professionalism. Her personal goal is to one day attend medical school. "The possibility of becoming a physician and caring for people regardless of their circumstances fills me with great joy." Erica credits Dr. Levinskaya as being a wonderful mentor and role model who encourages her to pursue her dreams. Erica devotes her spare time to travel and a passion for baking. To express creativity and make people happy, she recently started a small business, Glam Fairy Cakes.

Sonia Carranza – Admin Assistant

As a recent addition to the staff at PMALI, Sonia brings an engaging presence to our front desk. She looks forward to greeting patients with a smile and assisting them with everything, from check-in to appointment setting. Sonia juggles work with attending Farmingdale State College and has future aspirations of being a surgical nurse. Her hobbies include soccer, cosmetology, and photography. "I especially enjoy taking pictures and capturing those special moments."

Lauren Laffin – Medical Assistant

Lauren is a certified clinical medical assistant and phlebotomist. She is highly skilled and confident in her role. Her attentiveness and calming demeanor put patients at ease during their visit. Lauren is also a wife and mother of two beautiful children. She appreciates spending time with family and friends and enjoys drawing and painting.
